In 1987 Jens Mahlstedt started his career as a DJ and producer. Only a few years later he released one of the biggest dance tracks ever: “Loops & Tings” became a massive hit and until today it has been remixed more than 40 times by various artists. Instead of opting for quick and easy money, Jens sticks to his roots and continues producing and spinning Techno House and Funky Techno. In 1994/95 he mixes the first five Bonus CDs of the legendary Trance Nation mix album series. Remixes for Lazonby, Yello, Tokyo Ghetto Pussy, Josh Wink’s Size 9 and a lot more follow.  In 1998 Jens Mahlstedt released his debut album “Monkey Island” on Superstition Records as well as two singles taken from the album. Today Jens Mahlstedt is a composer of soundtracks for theatre and film.
